25 BEST GAME SITES

Here is a list of the Best Free Game Sites for Kids (kids defined as ages 1 to 14).

kids’ products and most importantly a concerned parent.  I have researched over

a thousand hours on the internet reviewing sites for kids, taken a class on kids

and the internet, as well as reviewed many award sites and critic reviews about

  web sites for kids.  My favorite and most notable review sites are:  The Parents Choice Awards(http://www.parentschoice.org),

 The criteria for this “Best Free Game Sites For Kids”  list is: (1).  The site should display

a Child Safety statement or logo.  (2) State a Privacy Statement that simply tells how

the site collects data from its visitors and how the information will be used. It is the law.

(COPPA-Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act)  (3).  The links and games should work

  (4) The games should be easy to play.  Instructions to play the games are clear and

navigation relatively easy.  (5) The site should be attractive (6) There should be some

moral,  educational, and or motor skills associated with the game.  (7) Pluggins required

to play the game should be free and downloadable from the game site.  (8) Advertising

should not be the majority of the site or pop ups interfering with the game. (9) A free

game site should not require registration to play and (10) finally, but not least, the game has

to be a fun game to play.   

The most disturbing thing I have discovered and please be forewarned  that  kid

sites created by individuals are great but on occassion if you check back their URl

(Uniform Resource Locator)  has been forward to a  non  kid- safe  site. This is a

very good reason why parents should review the quality of the sites our kids are

viewing.  What they view today may not be the same tomorrow.  That is the reason

for this article.  To provide a list of  quality game  sites  that your kids will enjoy.
